Audio Narrated PowerPoint

Attendees will learn how to make audio narrated power points using Jing and Screen-Cast-Omatic. This has a multitude of uses, from being able to give lectures online, to creating how-to videos, such as showing students how to find articles for a paper. Closed Captioning for your YouTube Video

This workshop will demonstrate how faculty can use Youtube’s built-in Closed Captioning to add Subtitle captions to their video. Attendees will login to a Youtube account to add and publish the text. CC can be turned on or off by the viewer. 60 min.

Learn how to navigate Datatel Colleague through the Web-based UI 4.4 that is replacing the current desktop access. This workshop is intended for all employees who currently use the Datatel Colleague desktop application and who have not attended one of the summer 2013 training sessions or who need a refresher. 45 min.

Excel Charting

Description:
Learn how to plot and format data in Excel workbooks in column charts and pie charts. Separate charts or keep them in the worksheets with the data being plotted. Create quick charts with one key, and define which type of chart to create with this method. Breakout pie, scatter, radar, bar, line charts will be briefly covered. two 1 1/2-hour sessions. The glossary tool allows teachers or teachers and students to create and maintain a list of definitions, like a dictionary. The entries can be searched or browsed in different formats. A glossary can be used as a collaborative activity or be restricted to entries made by the teacher. The auto-linking feature can highlight any word in the course which is located in the glossary. 45 min.

Learn how to convert current queries saved on your PC as .wis files to the Savedlist Creation (SLCR) form. Learn how to export your savedlist data into Excel using FLDL (Colleague File Export) without having to use Query Builder.
